Integroids, Nos. 1-11 (2014), are collages of computer prints on mylar but without any pictorial space, ranging in size from 30" to 60" high and 36" to 80" wide.

Junko wrote of these works:

The Integroids are living creatures that integrate organic and inorganic materials, life and death, destruction and rebirth, despair and hope, darkness and light. They are all part of my Self.

I create them by layering computer photos of found objects from my image library – cutting the prints, and enhancing them with graphite and acrylic.

The Integroids exist first on 2-dimensional surfaces; but they are 3-dimensional, and they are destined to inhabit a virtual world.
